NCHO's Newsletter: The Signpost
General Submission Guidelines for The Signpost
1. Submissions should be sent as e-mail attachments to nchosignpost@gmail.com. The subject line should read “Signpost Submission: <title of submission, author>”
2. Please submit all articles as Word documents in 12 pt Arial font and one inch margins
3. Articles should be single-spaced.
4. Articles may be as short as 2 or 3 paragraphs and as long as 2 to 4 pages. Longer articles will be printed if space allows, or held until next publication.
5. Opinion pieces, book reviews, institution updates, etc are encouraged. Feel free to be as creative and as fun as you would like to be.
6. Submissions are accepted continuously, but must be submitted prior to the deadline to be considered for inclusion in a particular issue.
7. The Editor reserves the right to make changes to submitted articles in order to correct errors or adjust article length.

Positional columns are the NCHO Board's opportunity to not only update you about information regarding their position, but also to provide you with opportunities related to their respective positions. These columns will be in every issues. The positional columns included are:

Informative Regular Columns are articles that will appear in roughly every issue (or every other issue if topic/writer warrant). These columns will provide information on the topics noted below. These will be written by someone who has direct experience in that area/is currently working in that arena. This will ensure continuity and breadth to this newsletter. If you are not a regular publisher on this topic, and you want to write something about it, please e-mail the Communications Coordinator your article .

General Submissions
General Submissions are articles written by anyone excited about NCHO, Housing, Residence Life or the University in General. We hope that our members and non-members will be interested in writing informative and/or fun articles to print in our newsletter.
- Articles for general submissions will be solicited via the time line above.
- These articles should be at minimum 250 words, and no more than 750.
