Welcome Letter from the President
On behalf of the North Carolina Housing Officers (NCHO), I want to welcome
you to www.ncho.org, the North Carolina Housing Officers
website. As I am sure you know,
Our website has gone through many transitions over the past few years in an
effort to improve the services we offer to our membership. If you have
not already done so, please take the time to peruse the website and see
everything we now have available. We have tried to make things easier to
find on the website, but let us know if you can’t find something or if you
feel we need to add something to the website.
There are a few items, I would like to highlight on our website.
Please take the time to submit a membership directory form so you can be
added to our membership directory. It is our goal that with the search
options available, the membership directory will help bring together housing
professionals across the state who have specialized functional areas as part
of their position. We also have set up the directory so you can update
your information each year through the use of a password. As most of
us move to new positions every few years, this will help your fellow housing
professionals find your most current information each year. The directory
submission form can be found by
clicking here.
Also, we have a great tradition of publishing quality newsletters. Please
take the time to read our most current Signpost as well as look back on the
Signposts from the past. If you have a great idea you would like to share,
updates about what is happening at your institution, or just want to try
your hand and getting published; we would welcome submissions for future
Signpost submissions. Please review the Signpost information by
clicking here.
Finally, I would be remiss if I did not take the opportunity to ask you to
go to our executive council page and have your colleagues from the state who
are serving on the executive council. As President of NCHO, I can tell
you from experience this is an amazing group of professionals who have been
diligently working to provide as many great experience and opportunities
they can for the NCHO membership. If you have a question about one
person’s position or an idea you would like to share related to a position,
please send them an email. We are here to serve the needs of the
housing professionals across the state. You can find information on all of
the executive council members by
clicking here.
Don’t forget to register for our statewide conferences. This year’s
conference will be a joint conference with NCCPA and will be held in
